In the small corner spot in the plaza next to the entrance to Coral Baja Resort, replacing Dominos Pizza is Taco Taco – Tacos de Guisado. With one table outside, another inside and a number of seats along the wall, Taco Taco offers eight different types of tacos. I sat down at the table inside the restaurant. The menu was already placed on the table. The choice of tacos is not just the standard chicken, beef, fish, or shrimp but rather Chicharron, Picadillo, Milanesa, Rajas con crema, Mole, Huevo en salsa roja, Bistec ranchero and some Milanesa variations with chicharron or rajas. I decided to try a chicken milanesa taco and the bistec ranchero taco. I also ordered a diet Coke.
The tacos were served to me within only a few minutes. Each taco was served on two corn tortillas and a base of refried beans and rice on which the topping was placed. The chicken taco has small cubes of chicken that had been breaded and cooked. The bistec ranchero taco had peppers and very small pieces of diced tomatoes, onions, and jalapeno peppers in addition to the steak. A bottle of extra sauce was also placed on the table. The flavors were great and the price even better. It was $120 pesos for the two tacos and the 16-ounce bottle of diet Coke.
The restaurant has been open several months and has a 5-star rating on Google. A Google search seems to be the best way to get information about Taco Taco. I was unable to find a website or social media.
