Located almost to the beach on the end of the road by Baja Beans is a new small villa with rental units that offers a sushi restaurant – Besos de Mezcal (Kiss of Mezcal) – and live music. Richard Hastings plays in the courtyard of the restaurant and villas on most Wednesdays. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the menu offers a wide variety of sushi rolls, salads, hamburgers, wings and fries and specialty cocktails. There is even a kid’s menu.

Bezos de Mezcal also has a fully stocked bar. I ordered a glass of Chardonnay and then ordered the spicy tuna rolls from their menu. On a break, Richard Hastings ordered a salad from the menu. I enjoyed the food while enjoying even more the music. Richard Hastings is an amazing guitarist and vocalist. His repertoire ranges from folk, to rock to jazz to country. He even takes requests from the guests at the restaurant. It was a great night of music.

Richard Hastings returns to Besos de Mezcal on Wednesday nights at 6:00 pm. Richard also performs regularly at Pizzeria El Potrero in Pescadero on Sundays, Poke Loko in Las Tunas (northern Todos Santos) and soon at Oystera in Todos Santos.
