As we have purchased a one bedroom condo in Todos Santos, we are once again in the process of looking for furniture. Carlos Ochoa of Carmat Carpinteria is building our queen-size beds of rosa morado to American size specifications. Mattress from the United States and Mexico are slightly different sizes and we had already purchased mattress pads and sheets from Costco in the US. That meant we needed to find American mattresses here in Los Cabos.

We recently saw the new Ashley Sleep location just before the arroyo by Artisanos just north of Cabo San Lucas. We new from furnishing our townhouse in Pueblo Campestre that they had American size mattresses and brands in stock and with quick delivery. So I stopped to take a look at the options.

The selection was quite amazing in terms of both size, thickness and type of type of mattress. Ashley had everything from 6″ to 12″ mattresses good in single, double, queen, king and California king sizes. The type of mattresses included memory foam, inner spring and hybrid mattresses that included springs and memory foam. Their brand selection included Chime, Gruve and Essentials by Ashley Sleep, Align to Tempur-Pedic and Stearns and Foster. With more than a dozen different beds set up on the floor, it gave us a chance to try out each one to see what made the most sense for our new condo. The even had 6″ foam mattresses appropriate for a sleeper bed to upgrade for the basic mattress included with them. There was also a good selection of Tempur-Pedic pillows from which to choose.
