Todos Santos is one of the major centers of art in Baja California Sur. There are many galleries and artisan stores throughout the downtown area of Todos Santos. On the main street in Todos Santos (Benito Juarez) across from the turn down to the arroyo and north Todos Santos, you will find Ezra Katz Gallery featuring paintings of landscapes and life in Baja. Born in Texas in 1970, Erza’s parents moved to La Paz when he was only three months old. His passion for art was seen very early in life, and from the time that he was young (only 7 years old), his parents arranged art tutors to come from Mexico City to spend the summer giving him art lessons. When the time for college came, Ezra studied art and then commercial art at the University of Texas in Austin and Corpus Christi. Katz became better known on the art scene with the attention and features in Southwestern Art in 2003, 2007 and 2013.

Ezra captures the soul of the Baja with vibrant colors. His scenes feature the people, buildings, animals, the water and the sky that are familiar to anyone who visits Los Cabos and Todos Santos. Many of his works include his sea foam green VW van. Over the years, we have purchased several of his paintings for our townhouse in San Jose del Cabo and our condo in Todos Santos.
