We had driven past the small plaza with Fit & Fat restaurant on our way to Torote Restaurant in Valle del Sol several times. Owned by the owner of the Jungle Bar in Cabo San Lucas, last weekend was its one-year anniversary. Beth and I went for an early dinner recently. There is seating both outside and inside with large screen televisions in both locations. There are also bars both on the inside and outside of the restaurant.
We decided to eat inside and our server, Rafa led us to a table and provided us with menus. The menu offers salads, snacks – like wings and guacamole, tacos, and cheese fingers – specialties – ribs, beef Milanesa, and a sampler, six different burgers and sandwiches. There was also a daily special menu in a stand on the table. We ordered our drinks. To eat, Beth chose the Steak Tacos and I decided on one of the Monster Burgers – Baja Burger. The steak taco plate came with three tacos on double corn tortillas with onions and Pico de Gallo and guacamole. There was lots of steak on each taco. The Baja Burger was truly a Monster – 400 grams of beef with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and dressing (normally with cheese but I said “sin queso”). The burger was served with French Fries and was more that big enough to share for two people – and both would be stuffed.
The food was very good, the service perfect, and when we asked for the check and sald that we were paying cash, our served told us there was a 10% discount for cash. We will definitely be back with friends.
