The newest addition to the shopping experience in Los Cabos is Fresko by La Comer. It is just south of Palmilla in the Corridor on the main highway. Once again, this store will make the super stores in the United States and Canada look like neighborhood convenience stores, especially for all of the fresh produce, meats, seafood, juices and bakery. I have never seen a fresh fish selection like there is in this store from Red Snapper to Octopus.
There is also a very large selection of wines from around the world along with every major brand of spirit. But like Walmart and Target, you can also find almost anything that you need for your home – dishes, hardware items, outdoor furniture and appliances.
The Pharmacy section is also very large with cosmetics, perfume and every kind of personal product that you could want or need while on vacation or for an extended stay in Los Cabos. With a section that just cooks fresh tortillas, either for sale as a tortilla or to be cut as tortilla chips, you can get either hot off the grill. Similarly, the seafood, meat, cheese and juice sections will prepare whatever you would like on the spot.
Want gourmet and imported foods? There is a large section of products that are specially imported so that you don’t miss out on your favorites – from sauces to crackers to condiments. And of course, what would Mexico be without a large salsa bar! The staff are all friendly and helpful, even if your Spanish is a little rusty (or non-existent).
