Todos Santos is full of small restaurants throughout not only the downtown but the outer edges of the town. SanToro is located on Marque de Leon just off the main street Benito Juarez of Todos Santos near the Hotel California. The main dining room is up on the third floor of the building with a view of the Pacific. Guests enter the second-floor host area from a ramp and stairway off the street (not disabled friendly). A hostess then took us to the third floor where there are two dining areas – one in the bar.
The four of us were looking for a light lunch between visiting galleries as part of the Open Studio Tour in Todos Santos. We were seated in the bar area and offered the menu. The menu was quite extensive with lots of seafood choices in the appetizers, snacks, and main courses. Ranging from guacamole and nachos, to ceviche, burritos, tacos, and sushi to hamburgers and steaks. Eric and Lisa decided to have the nachos to share, which were served with skirt steak. Beth ordered the mixed salad, and I selected the tuna sashimi. The portions sizes were reasonable and the prices moderate.
The open bar area with a view toward the Pacific Ocean was very pleasant and it was a good place for a break in the busy afternoon.
