Mi Vegano Favorito - Vegan Restaurant in San Jose Del Cabo

Tucked away on Centenario (the back street that goes behind downtown) near the rear of Casa Natalia boutique hotel is Mi Vegano Favorito. Owned by two brothers, Martin and Andres from Argentina, who grew up eating a vegetarian and vegan diet at home. They had been searching for a place to open a restaurant and when the previous tenants abandoned the space after it was filled with sand and debris following Tropical Storm Lydia, they knew they had the place that they wanted. Under a palapa with trees within the restaurant, everything in the restaurant is natural. The menu offers vegan versions of hamburgers, pizza, tacos, appetizers, munchies and natural drinks.
We had visited the restaurant last year when our daughter and her husband were visiting after the pandemic started (and before the March 26th lockdown). While I was waiting for my wife and daughter to arrive from their tour of the Art District, I had a Ginger Beer. When they arrived, they both ordered the pineapple flavored water while looking over the menu. Beth ordered the potato wedges (oversized french fries). I ordered a Caprese pizza but substituted onions for the black olives, with the flour crust. Our daughter ordered a Fugazetta pizza (sauteed onions) on a sweet potato crust. As we waited for our food, the restaurant started to get busy and it was clear that they had some regulars and several people who ordered their pizza to take out. All of the food was excellent.
