Located on the arroyo just before Artisano’s on the corridor is a great small restaurant – Higos y Olivos (Figs and Olives). The old house was completely renovated to offer seating both outside and in two small rooms inside. The menu offers breakfast, lunch and dinner featuring Mexican and Italian dishes including pizza and is open from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm every day except Tuesday.

I took a seat outside at a table for two. As I was there for breakfast, I reviewed the menu which offered French Toast, Pancakes, Chilaquiles and several egg dishes. I decided on the Huevos a la Mexican, which were served with refried beans, roasted potatoes and onions as well as flour tortillas. The portion was large enough to make a number of burritos as well as just enjoying the plate of food.

We have visited several times for dinner with friends and enjoyed their salads, pasta and pizza. The food and service are great and the prices reasonable.
