Paradero Resort (translating to “a stop along the way” is located between Pescadero and Todos Santos in the farming area. Set in the middle of a number of fields growing vegetables, Paradero offers its guests to learn about farming, growing and maintaining a garden during their visit. The hotel itself is environmentally friendly and built in minimalistic fashion, with a rough concrete exterior. While the rooms have WiFi they do not have any entertainment technology (i.e., televisions, radios). With decks overlooking the gardens, guests can spend a peaceful time outside their rooms or exploring the area hiking or mountain biking. Most of these experiences and services at the hotel are inclusive.
Guests are encouraged to gather and meet each other in a central lounge area. Recently, the hotel announced a Taco Tour, described as “Bring your appetite on this food-filled tour of Todos Santos. You’ll sample some of the region’s best tacos—including a place that has been spotlighted in Netflix’s Chef’s Table series—plus meet the chefs who are reinventing tradition by experimenting with new flavors and recipes. Thirsty? Take the experience to the next level by pairing your tacos with a beer or mezcal tasting.” All you need is a hat, sunglasses and a great appetite.
