Beth has complained that it gets too hot in the kitchen when she is cooking and would like a fan added to the kitchen ceiling. The challenge in the kitchen in our unit is that it is a drop ceiling with the actual ceiling above it being slanted and a fan would need proper support to not wobble when installed. One of the service providers in our neighborhood, David Antonio Fanco de Jesus had introduced himself to me at our pool when he was working to finish the bathrooms there. I asked him if he would come by and take a look at our kitchen and the fan that I had bought from Home Depot.

After a quick review, he noted a few decisions that we had to make. The installation of the fan involved using one of the three existing ceiling lights for the position. Would we like him to pull the wires and put in a double switch so that the fan and the lights could be controlled separately? The answer was yes. Once, he removed the center light, he indicated that he would need to build an iron support from the ceiling to the drop ceiling to securing support the fan. Was that, okay? Of course.

David then purchased the necessary supplies, manufactured the iron support, ran the new wires through the existing conduits, and replaced the single switch with a double switch. He put the fan together and with an assistant installed it into the space on our drop ceiling. It performs, perfectly. Thank you, David.
