Plaza del Pescador has a wide range of interesting restaurants and shops in the hotel zone in San Jose del Cabo. In the small plaza between Tommy Bahama and Bistro by Sebastien Agnes is a Gelateria, a Tequila Store, a clothing store and a spa. I decided to take a look at Tequilas by Destileria in the back corner on the right. As soon as I entered the shop, a woman asked me if I would like to taste some tequila. There are two separate bars to the right of the door from the hosts to offer tastings of the tequila available (not all of the high-end tequilas are available to taste). The shop offers exclusively 100% agave tequilas and mezcals. Walking around the shop, I immediately noticed that they had an amazing selection of the unique bottles of Tequila by Clase Azul. Not only did they have the universally recognized white and blue bottles of the Clase Azul reposado, they also had large platinum Clase Azul bottles, special Day-of-the-Dead bottles, both 375 and 750 ml bottles, a small case of five different small Clase Azul bottles and a unique two-bottle set that comes in its own suitcase. This suitcase has both a mezcal and the super anejo, with a very high price tag. Tequilas by Destileria stocks lots of other brands of tequila as well with lots of unique bottle designs. The owners of the shop curate their selection of tequilas and so they do not carry many of the less-expensive brands. There is also several shelves of small Mexican sculptures available.
