For years, we had been driving by the Waldo’s 1 location before Walmart in San Jose del Cabo in the plaza with Soriana’s and Carl’s Junior. It was time to learn more about the store and the products that it sells. Waldo’s was originally opened in Tijuana in 1999 as a $1 store. It has expanded to over 900 locations since then. The average price has risen to the $50.00 to $99.00 mx. The core product categories of Waldo’s include groceries and exotic snacks; home decor and kitchen supplies including organizers, mirrors, glasses and baking pans and supplies; personal care products like deodorants, shampoos and even vegan cream products; seasonal and holiday gift ware including lots of gift wrapping, back to school items and special gifts for Christmas, Valentines Day and Halloween; clothing and footwear including casual apparel, socks, underwear and casual footwear for adults and children; cleaning and household supplies including cleaning tools and detergent and chemical cleaners. They also have toys, games, bicycles, party supplies, luggage and even some electronics.

The store in San Jose del Cabo is quite large with each of these categories grouped together and can be seen with the photos from our walkthrough. I even got a ream of ecological printer paper while we were there.
