Last year, we were lucky enough to attend the 5th Festival of Sabores de Baja. Held at the farm of Dona Pame Restaurant in Miraflores, this event is a celebration of the flavors of Baja – in food, drink, crafts and entertainment. Hosted by Lucy Trasvina, the daughter of the founder of Dona Pame Restaurant, it showcases great food from restaurants from San Jose del Cabo, Cabo San Lucas, Los Barriles and even La Paz. Dona Pame is not only a restaurant but has a few casitas and a large farm operation in the arroyo below the restaurant. It is here that a stage is set up for entertainment and food, drink, art and craft booths are built to introduce people to the full range of flavors of Baja.
Plan on a day of fun, great food, drink and entertainment. When we went last year, there was already a line up at the gate before the event was to open at noon. The event goes on until 5:00 and there is lots to experience. Tickets are available at B The Bar across from Barceló Grand Faro in the hotel zone in San Jose del Cabo.
