Getting furniture quickly in Los Cabos is very often a challenge. Most places require three to four months from the order date to deliver. On the other hand, at Ashley Furniture Homestore you can look at their website on the big screen and see if what you are interested in is in stock. If it is currently in stock, Franck, the manager of the San Jose del Cabo store says that in most cases the furniture can be delivered in three weeks. With shipping troubles sometimes this can be extended.
As we are temporarily in our original condo, El Conquistador near Plaza Pescador until our townhouse is finished being built, we needed some outdoor furniture quickly. We were lucky that Ashley’s actually was running a 20% off sale on outdoor furniture (Ends April 15, 2022). We ordered an outdoor furniture set – loveseat and two chairs (the coffee table was not in stock) on Saturday, February 26th. On Friday, March 18, Franck sent me a WhatsApp saying the furniture was in and ready for delivery. We set up the delivery for Monday, March 21st in the afternoon. The timing was achieved!
Two workers arrived in the small Ashley’s truck and loaded the boxes onto our deck. The opened the boxes, took out the furniture and assembled it on the spot. They broke down all of the boxes and put all the boxes, wrapping materials into the biggest box to take it away with them. The two were extremely efficient, pleasant, spoke English and asked Beth exactly where she wanted everything placed.
As many people have comment on the timing of shipments and installation problems with furniture in Los Cabos, we could not be happier with the service we received (and the price given the sale).
