Located on the corner of Blvd Mijares and Manuel Delgado in downtown San Jose del Cabo, Barberia Alpha has added a third location. Ernesto Ramirez, the owner of Barberia Alpha is known, not only for great haircuts, but for his care for children in the poorest areas of Los Cabos. With a van outfitted with all the equipment and staff that is needed to give free haircuts, scalp checks, scalp medicine, food, and toys, Barberia Alpha visits poor neighborhoods and works with the young children to make them look good and ensure that their hair and heads are healthy.

My first visit to Barberia Alpha was the result of a gift from my wife Beth, and I have been returning regularly ever since. It is not just a haircut but a full treatment that includes washing my hair, cutting my hair, trimming my beard, eye brows, and those nasty hairs in your ears and nose as well as a full shave. The shaving process is very special because in includes shaving cream, a hot towel treatment, the shave, a second hot towel and facial massage with an electric hand massager. The overall experience is finished off with a little after shave lotion. I feel great during the process and when I leave. It is impossible for me to get as close a shave as with the straight razors used at Barberia Alpha.
