Bastien Boucard, the chef and one of the owners at Poke Loko is also a singer.  This was a surprise during our recent visit to the restaurant when Tim Lang invited Bastien to join him on stage.  We assumed it was to say something to the restaurant’s guests.  Instead, he went right into R.E.M.’s The One I Love.  It seems that Bastien is the reason that Poke Loko is so committed to supporting live music in Todos Santos.  He says that he performs a song with every band that plays at the restaurant.  Here is his performance with Tim Lang & Co. of the R.E.M. song.
