BREAKFAST AT CAFFE TODOS SANTOS

John Anderson, Editor

Caffe Todos Santos and Tre Galline are once again together – now on the main street of Todos Santos, Benito Juarez. Caffe Todos Santos was established in 1993. The owners, Chef Angelo, his wife Magda and their son Constantino renovated the former La Morena to make it more comfortable. Adding a mural on the main wall of the bar area, new tables and chairs, umbrellas, and closing off the kitchen with their armoire that was in the former location. You can choose seating at a few tables on the street, in the bar area, including a cushion bench along the side wall or in the garden.

Caffe Todos Santos offers breakfast with eggs, omelets, burritos, toasts, hotcakes and more and offers sandwiches, salads, hamburgers, tacos, flautas, quesadillas, enchiladas and more for lunch and dinner. We took our friends Chris and Tracey, visiting from England there for breakfast and our daughter, Chava who lives in Todos Santos joined us. We were greeted in the front by all of the members of the family and led to a table in the garden area. Our server provided us with the menus and asked us what we would like to drink. Chris decided that he would like to try a local beer and they asked if he would like a taste – so they brought him a small glass to see if it was to his liking. We ordered a variety of items for our breakfasts – huevos a la Mexicana for me, a Denver Omelet for Beth (without cheese), a FritataVegetariana and Avocado Toast for Tracey and a mushroom omelet for Chava. Our server brought us two baskets of fresh toasted bread with jam, butter and salsa.

The food was great, the service was excellent, the atmosphere very pleasant and the company, the best.
