Located on the corner of Forjadores and Ave La Paz in Santa Rosa (north San Jose del Cabo) is a new hardware store – Comercial Laguna. The owner Enrique Menendez is from a family on the mainland of Mexico that has owned four large hardware stores for 45 years in different cities. Walking in the front door of the hardware store, the first thing that you see is a display of tools manufactured by Inc-Co, a Chinese Manufacturer. Behind the counter and in the display cases to the left of the front door, Comercial Laguna features all of the accessories to go with the power tools including saw blades, grinder discs and sander discs. One of the most popular items are the flexible wheels for the cleaning and prepping of tile and Canterra for sealing. There is also a display of safety clothes and equipment behind the front counter.

The back of the main part of the store has displays of more hand tools, painting supplies, spray paints, locks, extension cords, tape measures and more. On an adjacent wall are gardening tools, zip ties, plumbing equipment, hoses and wires.

Two of the most interesting products available at Comercial Laguna are lithium-ion batteries for golf carts and a special system to monitor the level and use of propane in propane tanks. At Pueblo Campestre Phase 2 we had run out of propane completely a few times because the meter on the top of the two large tanks only shows the pressure in the tank, not the level or use of the propane in the tank. This new system alongs you to monitor both on your smart phone.
