Traveling down the East Cape Road for another mile or so, you will encounter a small container based convenience store, La Casa de Los Abuelos. We had watched this place being built on our trips back and forth from San Jose del Cabo to Zacatitos. It is called the “House of the Grandparents” because behind the store is a house that is owned by the Grandfather and was built with his son, a local contractor, who also builds with containers. The store offers lots of the products needed for your home as well as drinks, snacks and more. In the future, they will be offering food from their small kitchen, which you can enjoy in the covered patio in front of the store.
