Derrick has been in Los Cabos for nine years, after 20 years in Colorado. He, and his wife, Holly Heiser Hornyan, an artist recently moved from Cabo San Lucas to Pescadero and are interested in letting people know about the services they have available and their full range of skills. I have seen Derrick at work several times over the past five years.

Derrick has been a photographer since September 2010. In Denver, he was known for his work both in the music scene and for restaurant. As a former cook and chef with experience ranging from American diner food to high end restaurants, Derrick has a great ability to stage and light food in just the right way to make it come to life. But his experience expanded to individual and family portraits, business headshots, real estate, events, pets, and even drone photography. More importantly, though is his skill with photoshop after the photoshoot to adjust the lighting and combine images to create exacting the feeling the client wants.

He is the founder of D-ROCK IMAGING and Cabo Life Photography and is always striving to improve his craft, and create new, imaginative images. In Los Cabos, he was worked with Engel & Volkers Snell Real Estate, The Agency, AirB&B owners and AirB&B hosts/managers, DistrictMX, Crush Nightspot, TEO Bar & Grill, Shaka’s Delicious Wood Cantina, Latitude 22 The Roadhouse, Bajarriba Tequila, Rustico Lounge, Casa Sheila, Agua Salada, and Hansen Luxury Estates as well as lots of individual clients.
