Dream Tezal - A New Condominium Development

John Anderson, Editor

El Tezal is one of the fastest growing areas for real estate in Los Cabos. On the hillside behind Costco, El Tezal developments have views of the Sea of Cortez, Lands End and the marina in Cabo San Lucas and the mountains. Close to shopping – Home Depot, Costco, Fresko, a new Soriano being built, Walmart – and with many new great restaurants – Torote in Valle del Sol, Trattoria and Steakhouse da Pietro, Cabo Grill Shop, Asi y Asado – and only five to 10 minutes to downtown Cabo San Lucas, it has become a popular area for reasonable priced condos.

One of the new small developments under construction, Dream Cabo offers 15 two bedroom, two bath units with views from the second and third floors. With two buildings, building A’s first floor units have a large outdoor walled patio area and the second and third floor units in each of the two buildings have a dedicated roof top area with pergola, fire pit and propane for BBQ and views with Cantera tile floors and dividing walls. The complex has a small pool with BBQ, outdoor shower and pergola and all units have covered parking and a large storage area at the back of the parking space, which is the first floor of building B.

Each of the condo units features a large laundry room to the right of the entry, a combined open kitchen and living room area with sliding doors to the deck or patio. The large master bedroom also has sliding doors to the deck or patio. Both bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms with tiled showers. The floors are travertine throughout. Each unit has mini-split air-conditioners in each room. The pricing for the units ranges from $215,000 to $295,000 in building A (depending on floor) and $220,000 to $303,000 in building B.

I have had the opportunity to visit this project a few times during its construction as it is being managed by Eduardo Almazan, who built the pergola over our patio and does much of the maintenance and renovation work in Pueblo Campestre. Eduardo brought a complete dedicated crew from the mainland, headed by an engineer to do the construction, which meets the highest standards. They have added a number of large cisterns on the property to address water concerns that have been mentioned in El Tezal.

Construction of the units is in its final stages and a show suite will be available for viewing in early November with the first units ready for occupancy in January 2024. The property is listed by BajaSmart Realty and information can be found at https://bajasmart.com/condo/23-2311/cabo-corridor/el-tezal-west/dream-tezal/dream-tezal
