In our search for furniture for our new townhouse, we have been exploring all of the furniture, appliances, lighting, and related stores in Los Cabos. Opening just a few months ago on the frontage road between Costco and the Walmart shopping center is a three-story furniture and accessories store, Galerias El Triunfo. For those of you who don’t know, El Triunfo is the historic silver mining town south of La Paz. Well, this store is anything but traditional. We felt like we were visiting a kitschy place on Melrose in Los Angeles.
The three floors display a wide range of indoor and outdoor furniture. This store probably has the largest collection of chairs and chair styles in Los Cabos. There is also a very large children’s section.
The furniture has a little bit for every room – sofas, dining tables, bedroom sets, and even bathtubs. There is every type of accessory that you could think of – dishes, artwork, statues. You can even get a 10+ foot boa constrictor statue around the base of a tree, a five-foot-high dragon, a life-size Elvis, an Astronaut, or a Pirate. There are even accessories for your game room – pool, foosball, craps table, and more.
The photos below tell the story of how eclectic the choices are in this store. I am not sure that I would furnish my house from their collection but there is definitely a lot to choose from that will get the neighbors talking. Enjoy!
