Football season is about to come to an end. We were at District in Plaza Peninsula a few weeks ago as two of the important playoff games were being played. With big screen televisions surrounding the restaurant, it is a great place to watch games. And the fans were crazy. Lots of people were there wearing their team Jerseys. At the front door, an artisan was set up with Huichol football helmets of all of the teams and other memorabilia. The first game had Detroit in the playoffs for the first time in 20 years. The second game was touted as the winner likely to win the Super Bowl – Kansas City against Buffalo in cold Buffalo. Michael McLoughlin, the owner of District was there at his regular table in his Kansas City jersey and hat.
While the games are on the screens, District is one of the best sports bars in Los Cabos. Bragging of the coldest beer in Los Cabos, there is both bar food – wings, guacamole and more – and a full menu, including breakfast on weekends. As it was a Sunday, Eric and I had breakfast while Jeronimo, Pablo and his daughter Sofie had lunch items. We tried to talk in between the cheers from fans for their teams.
I am sure that Super Bowl will be packed so you better get your reservations if you don’t already have them.
