I am always interested in people who are trying to promote local businesses and event in Los Cabos. Israel Cohen Sauceda is a perfect example of someone trying to do just that. Just over two years ago, Israel created AZAP Los Cabos. AZAP stands for “As Zoon As Possible”. This platform, which includes a website, Facebook page, Facebook Group, APP and Instagram page was created to showcase local businesses, people and events. Israel acts as a combination roving reporter and marketing and public relations service for local businesses. Over the two years, AZAP Los Cabos has developed quite a following on Facebook (22K) and the AZAP Los Cabos Recomienda Facebook Group with 2.2K members. The Facebook Group allows members to post and share stories about their businesses and activities. Facebook, Instagram and the mobile APP, accessed from the website have content moderated by Israel himself as a personal blog. The APP provides reviews of local businesses. The result is that you will see stories about new business openings, events at restaurants and resorts as well as general stories of this that are happening in Los Cabos – storms, accidents, protests, celebrations and more.

Isreal and I had first connected when he invited us to attend Sabores de Baja in Miraflores at Dona Pame Restaurant. We then connected so that i could find out more about AZAP Los Cabos. We met for lunch at Taqueria Mexico in Calle Valerio Gonzalez across from the car wash to talk about ways that Enjoy Los Cabos Life and AZAP Los Cabos might be able to support each other’s objectives. I was very impressed to hear more about his activities and some of the companies that we were both interested in (e.g. Cava Clandestina and Nomada Wine Truck).
