Justina Blanket Factory in Cerritos

John Anderson, Editor

With furnishing our two new condos in Santas & Santos in Todos Santos, we wanted to find something Mexican to act as bedspreads for the queen bed in each of the condos. We had looked at all of the fabric stalls in the marketplace in Todos Santos as well as some of the artisan shops in San Jose del Cabo but did not find anything that combined a Mexican feel with the industrial style of the condos with concrete block walls.

In our drives back and forth to Todos Santos, we noticed that there were two blanket shops on the west side of the highway on the south edge of Cerritos, south of Art & Beer. We stopped at one and there was nothing the really worked and so we want to the other – Justina Blanket Factory. The store is run by two sisters – one who weave the blankets and the other who sells. This small shop and racks and racks of different types of Mexican fabrics, ranging from placemats to table runners, tablecloths, wall hangings, hammocks and bedspreads. Beth looked through what they had available that would provide color to the gray rooms but at the same time complement them. Measuring some of the pieces hanging on the wall, she found two that were the right size for queen size beds and would meet the combined goals of adding color and complementing the grey block.

We came back to the condos and put them on the beds, and they worked perfectly.

For more information about Justina Blankets while they do not have their own social platforms, if you do a Google search you will find information from Trip Advisor and lots of people who have bought their products.
