Macca Pasta Bar is one of our favorite places for pasta or pizza that can be ordered exactly the way that you like it. On Tuesday nights, they often have Ladies’ Night with special entertainment. On August 16th, Macca hosted “Love is Love,” a special night for the gay community. The entertainment included Bren’s Music, a great duo that sing American and Spanish hits and Kinky Pop, a comedian in drag.

No matter what the entertainment, the food and service at Macca Pasta Bar in the hotel zone of San Jose del Cabo is excellent. We often eat there once every week or two. The restaurant lets you choose your favorite pasta, the sauce you want and add the fresh vegetables or protein that you prefer. The same process is true for their pizza. In addition, to pasta and pizza, they have other Italian specials (Lasagna, Risotto), meats, seafood, Keto dishes and even a kid’s menu.

We started our meal with the Focaccia bread, which is served warm and has lots of garlic. Beth ordered capellini pasta with oil and garlic and added tomatoes and black olives. I decided to try the Salmon special, which is served with a lemon pasta, asparagus and a fresh roll. As always, the food was delicious (I have included some photos of other recent meals to give you more of a flavor of the offerings of the restaurant). Jorge, the chef was trained as a pastry chef and so the desserts are out of this world. We ended our meal with the chocolate cake. As always, an excellent experience.
