I first met Mario in Zacatitos where he lives. I had seen some of his photographs on the Los Zacatitos site and was interested in learning more about his history as a photographer. Mario described how there had always been a camera around his house growing up, and he started to take pictures at nine years old. When he was 12, on a trip to San Francisco, when his mother bought a Canon SLR camera, he thought a dream had come true, and he took pictures that he still cherishes to this day.

With his family’s move from Mexico City to Los Cabos, he decided that it was time to take his passion to the next level and make it a career. Mario has a great eye and skill in choosing his depth of field. His photography ranges from surfing to people to lifestyle to real estate. We had Mario shoot our house in Zacatitos when we put in on the market to sell. The photographs really captured what it would be like to live in the house rather than simply wide-angle shots of the house and its rooms.

Mario has said that he tries to capture the emotion of the property and what it would be like to spend time in each of the rooms of the house. This results in closeups of features in different rooms as well as wider shots of the views from the house and its rooms. He considers it amazing to have the opportunity to know such great homes and properties in all Cabos area, many of them are ansions with direct water views that mesmerize all your being.
