Sharon Katz at Poke Loko Think It Over

Sharon Katz has had an incredible career as a musician, singer, and social activist who brought together over 500 children from all races and cultures to form a South African choir after the end of apartheid. Sharon Katz and the Peace Train have performed all around the world and since 2022, Sharon has been a regular performer and volunteer music teacher in Todos Santos. Tonight (January 19th), Sharon introduced a packed house at Poke Loko to the sounds of South Africa. With this song, arranged by Sharon Katz, she brought dozens of guests at the restaurant to their feet to dance along with her performance and instructions. Here is Sharon Katz, Ashbolt Stewart (on drums) and Robbie Greer (bass guitar) performing Sharon’s Think It Over from her most recent CD For You. Enjoy!

Her upcoming dates will be with band and special guest singer Wendy Quick (longtime member of my band from Philadelphia):

  • Thursday March 7th at the Sisters In Song Festival at Todos Santos Brewing
  • Saturday March 9th at Teatro Pescadero
  • Sunday March 10th at Teatro Márquez de León with community choir and dancers; and
  • Friday March 15th at Teatro Luna Azul with more musical guests including David Raitt.
