Natural Beauty MedSpa in Puerto Paraiso in Cabo San Lucas

John Anderson, Editor

For the past seven years I have been very interested in the MedSpa business, having helped launch several in the Boston area. At that time, I also worked with some top plastic surgeons and medical device companies. So, when I saw an advertisement for a promotion for a facial and neck skin-tightening treatment for only $69, I decided to make an appointment.

I arrived at Natural Beauty on the first floor of the mall in Cabo San Lucas and told them I had an appointment. I was greeted by Dasha, a representative of Avologi, a medical device company that sells a FDA-approved skin tightening device tested by NASA. The device uses LED light to penetrate the surface of the skin to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, which give the skin a youthful glow, smoother feel and ultimately tighten the skin that sags due to aging.

Dasha introduced me to Zoe, the technician was was going to give me the facial. My appointment started with a series of questions about my age, health, allergies, medications and surgery that might impact whether or not I should undergo the treatment. I was then led to a reclining bed for the start of the treatment – a thorough cleaning of my skin. I took a few before selfies to see if I could tell the impact of the treatment on my face and neck. After a series of wipes were applied to my skin, covering my eyes, steam was used to further open my pores. My face was then dried, and Zoe used a device to clean my pores – blackheads, dry skin – even more. Once done, my face was covered with a fine net and a wand was used to close the pores. Zoe then spread a mask over my face and neck that she said was good for 24 hours and did not have to be removed. The mask was also designed to stimulate collagen production and hydrate the skin. The next step in the treatment was to use the Oneo Advanced LED device on my forehead, face and neck. This FDA approved device uses red LED light emitted from about 24 lights to stimulate collagen and elastin production. Zoe followed a carefully timed protocol of treating each area of my neck and face for four minutes. When this process was completed, a smaller version of the LED device was used for around my eyes – eyebrows and bags below my eyes. With everything completed, my face was again cleaned and massaged. The process was delightful. Zoe was very professional and there clearly was a tightening evident especially on my neck.

I was then taken to the other treatment room where my wife Beth had been waiting with Dasha. Dasha had explained the device to her as well as given her a brief treatment on her face, neck and upper chest. The impact on the crepe skin on her chest was immediately apparent. Part of the reason for the special price for the facial was because the Oneo device is actually for home use and was for sale. So, Dasha provided us with more history on the company, the device, and the research on its effectiveness.

We were very impressed Natural Beauty, Dasha and the Avologi device. After doing so independent research on sites like TrustPilot, we decided to purchase on of the devices. I will update you on the long-term effectiveness after we have used it for a few months.
