Located on the main street of Todos Santos (Benito Jaurez) across from Tre Galline and Caffe Todos Santos is Plaza Amigos. This plaza offers the choice of a number of different restaurants with comfortable outdoor seating under cover to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner. The plaza also has a lounge area with a large set of shelves full of books for you to sit and relax. As you enter the plaza, there is a clean water refill station for your water bottles to keep hydrated as you explore Todos Santos.

We arrived early in Todos Santos looking for someplace to have breakfast. We wandered into Plaza Amigos. We were greeted by a server from one of the restaurant stands – Alma de Pueblo – with a copy of the breakfast menu. We took a seat at a table to review the menu. For breakfast, Alma de Pueblo offers chilaquiles with mole or green sauce with chicken, eggs, carne asada, or shrimp; eggs as you like them, omelets with a choice of ingredients including a shrimp omelet; Huevos Rancheros and Papa Pan, a special combination of grated potatoes, bacon, 2 eggs and bread.

Beth ordered a cup of coffee and I chose Diet Coke as we looked over the menu. Beth decided on scrambled eggs with bacon and avocado. The large platter also came with potatoes and refried beans. I chose Huevos a la Mexican, which also was served with avocado, refried beans, and potatoes. The portions were large, the flavors great, and the service very good.

Other restaurants were just setting up as we arrived. There was one called Shakti Bowl, offering a number of different organic bowls or your ability to build your own bowl with the ingredients of your choice. The next restaurant in line was Szechuan Garden, which also gives you the opportunity to create a bowl or salad with a full range of ingredients. The next restaurant offered a full range of Vietnamese dishes. Finally, Alma de Pueblo offers Mexican food to its guests. Plaza Amigos also provides Jardin Amigos, a rental space for private events.
