On our first visit to Los Cabos in the early 1990s, shopping was largely limited to t-shirts, local artisan souvenirs and silver jewelry. While all of these are still available in San Jose del Cabo, Cabo San Lucas and Todos Santos, in some ways, Cabo San Lucas has taken on the atmosphere of high-end shopping found in Las Vegas or Beijing.
Situated adjacent to the marina in Cabo San Lucas is Puerto Paraiso, a full shopping mall of 128 businesses with everything you might expect and more. From high-end movie theaters (Cinemex Platino allows you to order food from your reclining leather chair) to clothing and electronics stores to one of Mexico’s fine department stores for men’s and women’s items (Liverpool Duty Free). Of course, there is everything that you might need to enjoy the activities in Los Cabos – swimwear, sunglasses, sporting goods. Dining selections range from a food court to fine dining with restaurants like Ruth’s Chris and Haagen-Daaz.
