I was walking around downtown Todos Santos looking for a place to have lunch. Apparently, lots of restaurants are closed on Tuesday. Located on the corner of Colegio Militar and Marquez de Léon is Restaurant Bar Bahia. With seating under cover on the street, this restaurant specializes in seafood. The menu offers fresh sashimi, seafood tacos, tostadas, and quesadillas, cocktails, ceviche, aguachiles, molcajetes, soups, machacas, salad and a number of specialties.
After reviewing the menu, I decided to order the tuna sashimi to start and then try two different tacos – marlin and chicken. The server brought me some tortilla chips and salsa along with my Coke Zero to nibble on while I waited for my food. When the sashimi came, I was amazed at the size of the plate. With sliced cucumber at one end and sliced avocado at the other, the platter was covered with slices of tuna with soy sauce and small slices of jalapeno and onion slices. There were probably 24 slices of tuna or more. It was delicious and definitely enough for two or more people to share. Similarly, the amount of filling in each of the tacos was much more than is usually provided. The tacos were served with a side of avocado salsa, Pico de Gallo and coleslaw. The flavors were excellent.
I was very happy that I had discovered this small restaurant and will definitely to again. The food and service were very good.
