Interested in great Italian food with huge portions at reasonable prices? Then, you need to try Salvatore G’s in Siesta Suites Hotel in Cabo San Lucas, one block north of the Tesoro and beside JM Italian Steakhouse. Salavatore G’s has indoor and outdoor dining on two levels. With an incredible staff, the servers wear t-shirts with “Legalize Marinara” on the back (I like most people first read it as “Legalize Marijuana”). The menu is extensive with appetizers like stuffed mushrooms, bruschetta and calamari as well as several salads. There are vegetarian, seafood, chicken and meat entrées as well as a variety of house specials.
I had previously been to Salvatore G’s for lunch but Beth and our friends, Bill and Tanya Girdwood had never been there. So, this was a treat. I warned them about the size of the portions. Amor, our server was a treat and very helpful. We ordered the bruschetta as an appetizer for the table and an additional shrimp appetizer. They were plentiful and delicious. Caesar salads were also served to the table with grilled garlic bread and fresh parmesan cheese. Our entrées included chicken piccata for Beth, the mushroom risotto for me, the baked rigatoni for Bill and a special pasta for Tanya. Everyone had part of their meal to take home as the portions are so large. While we were dining, the staff all came out to sing happy birthday to a woman at the table next to us.
