CFE has informed the region that all of its substations providing power are at capacity. Club Campestre had committed to build a substation to meet all of the needs of the neighborhood. However, while negotiating the details with Questro, the developer of Club Campestre, CFE stopped issuing electric meters for new construction in the development. The result was that several new homeowners explored adding solar to their Fairway Homes and townhouses. A number of different solar companies were selected for the installations.
For one Fairway Home in Pueblo Campestre Phase 2, the owners selected Cabo Green Power as their installer. Based on an assessment of the power needs for the home, the company recommended the following components for the solar system.
The overall installation of the components of the system including adding the conduits in the walls of the home to deliver the energy from the solar panels on the roof of the garage to the Sol-Ark Inverter and to connect the overall solar system to the electrical panel in the home for both distributing the solar energy and to bring electricity from the grid in case of a long-term period (hurricane system) where no sun is available.
The homeowner indicated that the system has been functioning very well. During the summer when they were back in Canada, they were able to remotely turn on the air conditioners to maintain the appropriate temperature in the house.
Cabo Green Power indicates that it has been in business in Baja California Sur for 10 years and has done 100s of installations in the region. For more information about Cabo Green Power visit their website at https://cabogreenpower.com/
