We first heard Stamina about five years ago at Zac’s Bar and Grill in Zacatitos on the East Cape.  This trio from La Paz plays reggae, rock and blues, with a reggae beat.  Since those first dates, we have seen them many times on the East Cape, San Jose del Cabo, Cerritos and now in Cabo San Lucas.

Set up on the patio in front of The Funky Olive, Stamina started playing at 3:00 pm on a Sunday afternoon.  The outside was almost empty at the time.  It didn’t take long for visitors to the Puerto Paraiso mall to stop and listen and then come into the restaurant.  Jose, the host, sat us right in front of the band.  We exchanged waves.

Of the first songs that they played was a mash up of reggae and rhythm and blues that included bits of Ain’t No Sunshine and My Girl.  Enjoy!
