Driving in from the Airport in San Jose del Cabo, we had often noticed the Terra Cu furniture location just past the Aramburo Shopping Center on the right. It was always noticeable because of the large natural wood top tables that we on display in the yard near the highway. In 2020, Terra Cu opened a second location in the La Jolla condos building south of San Jose del Cabo in Costa Azul. My wife and I finally took the opportunity to stop and look at the furniture on display.

The first thing that you see is the range of outdoor furniture made with natural woods – tables, chairs, chaise pool lounges. There are even chairs and coffee (or drink tables) carved completely out of trunks of trees. Many of the chairs use woven materials for the backs of the seats. Everything is very stylish and also well made. We then went inside the large retail location to see how the natural woods were used in the construction of dining room tables and chairs, coffee tables and bedroom furniture. Again, there were some items that were completely carved out of single pieces of wood. As several of the dining tables (both regular and bar height) were very large, we asked on of the members of the staff, if they custom made furniture. We were assured that this was a large part of their business and that we could specify the style, size and color of the furniture that we would like to have made. In fact, the Facebook page shows photos of their hand building process for their Mexican artisan furniture.
