The CO-OP Baja, which used to be in Las Tunas recently moved to downtown Todos Santos to a much larger-shared location (19 calle zaragoza y esquina calle rangel). With three rooms in the main building and an outdoor space, The CO-OP Baja shares with a Spanish school and some local artists who offer workshops in some of the space.
The objective of The CO-OP Baja was to give people and place to meet and work as well as showcasing furniture, dish ware, fabrics and other unique items made locally or in Mexico. They have expanded their Community Conversations to include Garden Movie nights and even surf excursions. Sam and Dave (not the singing duo) have designed a range of home goods and will create custom pieces for your home with their artisan partners – carpenters, stone workers, iron work creators, potters, weavers and more. Their company, sanc.tum baja has a catalogue of the items that are available.
On our recent visit to their new location, they had a sale of some of their furniture items. The three rooms showcase textiles, dish ware and tabletop items, artwork, furniture and more.
