Located just past Artesanos on the frontage road, The Diner has recently opened offering breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu and the design of The Diner are reminiscent of the roadside diners all over the United States. With ample parking, the inside has the American red, white and blue theme. Large booths run along one wall with a number of tables both inside and on the deck outside the front doors. The room is surround by big flat screen television on the wall, playing sports and American programming. There is even a small game with golf tees on the table. While the sign says open 24 hours, they are only open from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm at this point.
The menu includes all of your favorites – with all-day breakfasts, all day-lunches and all day dinners. For breakfast, there are omelets, waffles, pancakes, french toast, eggs Benedict, burritos, and classic sides. For lunch, all of your favorite sandwiches are on the menu – Club, BLTA, Rueben, Philly Cheese Steak, Hamburgers, Roasted Turkey. Chicken – with sides like onion rings, fries, chili, Mac & Cheese. For dinner, choose from Chicken Fried Steak, Meatloaf with Gravy or Turkey and Gravy. Of course, there are also your favorite drinks – milkshakes and floats – and desserts – sundaes, banana split and pie. You can even order pizza.
We stopped for a late lunch in the middle of the afternoon. Beth ordered the BLTA – a BLT with Avocado. She has tried BLTs a several restaurants in Los Cabos and this was both the biggest and the best, with crispy French fries and coleslaw. I wanted to try some side and so I ordered two of my favorites – Mac & Cheese and Texas Chili. Both bowls offered good sized portions with good flavor. The service was attentive and the atmosphere – a diner. We will definitely be back to try breakfast and dinner.
