When I had the opportunity to meet with Tim Lang before his show at La Morena in Todos Santos in January, he described how one of the biggest influences on his music was the records that his parents played when he was young. As a result, unlike lots of other musicians his show includes standards from people like Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole and Johnny Cash. I got the feeling that he would have enjoyed watching the Dean Martin Show on TV with all of his Rat Pack friends.

Here is Tim Lang’s version of Frank Sinatra’s Fly Me to the Moon. This was one of the opening acoustic songs that he performed solo.
