Vista La Ribera - A Boutique Hotel on the way to Cabo Pulmo

John Anderson, Editor

In chatting with Sulma, I learned about the palapa that they have set up on the nearby beach on the Sea of Cortez and the availability of kayaks, paddle boards, and surfboards for the guests to use.  Each of the casitas is named after an herb, flower, or plant and is well appointed, including satellite TV, Internet, and some with small kitchens.  The prices are very reasonable, ranging from $139 to $179 a night.  Vista La Ribera even offers room service.   If you have young children, there is a small playground near the pool and seating with a fire pit to enjoy in the evening.

Vista La Ribera is a great place not only to go to relax with your family but to explore this part of the East Cape – Cabo Pulmo, Miraflores, hot springs Santiago, Los Barriles (kite surfing), and the museums of El Triunfo.

Every Friday morning, the hotel hosts an organic farmers market for the region. Vida Soul also offers unique wedding packages that can allow the wedding party to take over the whole hotel.

Joan Hafenecker has been a great host for the guest since the property opened.  Vida Soul can be accessed from Palo Escopeta, a road running from close to the airport in San Jose del Cabo.
