Located on the transpeninsular across from Walmart in San Jose del Cabo is We Design, a company relatively new to Los Cabos but not to the furniture design and manufacturing business in Mexico. The owners, Alexis Sámano and Moises Hernandez have been designing and manufacturing luxury furniture to their clients’ visions for 20 years from Mexico City. As more and more people hired them in the Los Cabos area, they decided to open We Design in San Jose del Cabo.

There are a lot of furniture stores in Los Cabos, with a full range of products and price points. We have purchased furniture from many of them – Ashley Furniture Homestore, Terra Cu, Treasures Furniture, Casa Bonita, BeHome, My Way Too, Simply Divine. In most cases, you have the choice of buying items that are displayed on the floor, or if you want to change the color or fabric, placing and order. Delivery times range from four to six months for any special order.

What Makes We Design Different? We Design is not just a furniture store. It is a full-service interior design company that wants to turn YOUR vision into a reality. It starts with the blueprints or measurements of your home – condo, townhouse or house. It continues with an in-depth discussion of your tastes, preferences for colors and fabrics, and even pictures that you have found that represent the style and type of furniture that you would like. The next step is for the team and We Design to provide a complete proposal with renderings of every room that places the recommended furniture in each room. A meeting in person or through Zoom to review the recommendations and make changes helps to finalize a plan for your residence. In most cases, We Design can design and manufacture it to your preferences. For outdoors spaces, We Design has furniture from Couture, Vondom and Armen Living available at the showroom or they can manufacture custom outdoor furniture in woods and special fabrics that withstand the weather of Los Cabos.A few pages from renderings of the home of an actual client are included in the photos below.

The overall idea is that the day you arrive to move into your home, it is complete – and just the way that you had envisioned it. And more importantly, for the day everything is decided and the contract is signed, We Design guarantees to have the work done within three months. As a client, the company will go beyond just manufacturing and installing the furniture, they will work with the client to outfit the house completely – decorator items, glassware, dishes, flatware, kitchen utensils, and even your curtains and drapes. Their 20 years of experience have taught them what needs to be done to create the best in customer service.

Walking through the showroom, customers can see examples of living room, bedroom, dining room, den, and outdoor furniture. There is even some artwork and decorator items that are on display. However, the items on the showroom are changing all of the time. They mainly provide ideas and inspiration for what you would like to see in your property. It is also important during this process to know how the property is going to be used. If it is primarily a rental, the types of furniture and fabrics are likely to change to ensure the durability necessary for frequent and different visitors.
