The owner of Cabanas El Triunfo is also in the furniture design and manufacturing business. In a small shop across the arroyo from the boutique hotel, Xantus Furniture create great indoor and outdoor furniture. When we visited, two fabricators were hard a work creating outdoor furniture. Much of the furniture is designed with a metal frame. The frames as then powder coated in their special paint shop to protect them from rust. There were a number of examples of their work at the shop. A number of different designs for arm chairs were present. To create backs for the chairs, the frames were wrapped with either fabric or nylon to provide both support and great aesthetics. Different designs also included seat and back cushions of different types with outdoor fabric. In addition to chairs, there were two small benches on display with different woven seating options. The furniture manufactured by Xantus was not limited to metal frames. Chairs, dining, coffee and end tables, couches and other items also used hardwoods for the creation of the furniture. In the check-in area of Cabanas El Triunfo, there was also a large picnic table and a round dining table with chairs that used parota wood for table tops and seats. All of the designs looked great and it is clear that a lot of attention to detail is applied in the manufacturing of any of these items. A number of photos of their work are included in this post.
