Located right next to the round about that goes to Puerto Los Cabos and the East Cape on Blvd Mijares is Chato’s Bar and Grill. There are five or six different restaurants on the two sides of the street right here. Chato’s is next to theTequila Store on the corner. This small restaurant with primarily outdoor seating offers a range of breakfast, lunch and dinner items on its menus. I had stopped in for a quick lunch and the menu had appetizers, soups and salads, a wide range of seafood as well as Mexican food including molcajetes, pastas and main dishes (e.g., steak, ribs, catch of the day, shrimp and lobster).
I decided to try the onion soups and have a vegetarian quesadilla. I was served tortilla chips with a number of different salsas as a starter along with my diet coke. The bowl of onion soup was clearly just prepared with lots of onions and three large croutons covered in cheese on top. The quesadilla was cut into eight bite site pieces and came with refried beans. Both were good and the service was attentive and friendly. They even have valet parking.
