Moving into a new townhouse requires a lot of thought and decisions about upgrades and furniture. We were lucky early on to learn about Carmat Carpinteria in La Paz. We visited Carlos Ochoa in his large shop in La Paz, where it was clear that he was building a lot of large kitchen and bedroom installations for house. Since we engaged Carlos to do our living room wall unit, island, desk, bar stools, outdoor bench, side tables and a mirror and drawer for the entry several of our neighbors have hired him to create things for them.

One of the great things about Carlos and Carmat Carpinteria is that he will work from photographs or quick drawings, visit your home or condo to do the measurements and get any questions answered before doing the work. Once, it is done (which usually is in a very short time), he will deliver and install (with great care and attention to detail) in your place.

The latest person to use him was Cindy one of our neighbors in Pueblo Campestre Phase 2. She asked Carlos to build two single beds that could be combined into a king size bed or used separately, with two end tables as nightstands. For the living room she was a unique bureau, console table with a frosted glass top for behind the couch and a full wall unit and entertainment center covering the whole end wall of the living room. Delivering and installing the furniture was easy. For the installation of the wall unit, Carlos brought the entertainment center in six pieces and installed them to look like they were built in place. They also installed the mount for the flat screen television and the television itself. With shelves, drawers and the television, the wall unit adds tremendous functionality to the room.
