Located at the end of the Plaza Artisanal on Blvd Mijares just outside of downtown San Jose del Cabo is Drinking Time, a small snack bar with drinks and bar food. A favorite of locals who live in the area, the outdoor, indoor and bar rail seating is often filled. Having driven by for years, I decided that it was time to stop in for a quick drink to learn more about what the bar/restaurant offers. The menu includes a long list of cocktails, wines, beers and premium beers over two pages and a single page of food. The food offered includes nachos, tacos, quesadillas, burritos, hamburgers as well as a bar favorite, chicken wings.
I grabbed a margarita, ordered some nachos and sat looking at the street. A few minutes later, three former neighbors from Zacatitos came and sat down at the bar rail beside me. We had a nice chat and it was clear that they were regulars.
