The expats and visitors to Los Cabos who drive the Baja are always interested in finding pet friendly places to stay during their drive. Our neighbors in Zacatitos regularly chose Hotel Tripui in Puerto Escondito, just before Loreto as their stopping place. Our drive back from a trip to San Ignacio to see the whales, we decided to stop at this hotel.
The hotel has a large parking area, and the main entrance leads to the large swimming pool in front of the two-story building with all the rooms. To the right is the hotel’s restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. The rooms are large with king size beds, a desk, air conditioned with Internet from Starlink.
After arriving, after taking our bags to the room, we met down at the restaurant/bar to have a drink and some dinner. The menu has a good selection of starters, soups, pastas, seafood, meats and Mexican dishes. We ordered some guacamole and chips to start. We could tell the restaurant was pet friendly as a friendly pup came to visit us at our table. For main courses, we ordered chicken fajitas with flour tortillas and refried beans and grilled shrimp with rice and vegetables. The fajitas platter was more than large enough for Beth and I to share for dinner.
The hotel was very clean, the staff friendly and helpful and the setting pleasant with a good restaurant.
