London Bistro and Cafe in the Art District in San Jose Del Cabo

Located on the corner of Centenario and Jose Maria Morales adjacent to Habanero’s is the London Bistro and Cafe. Previously, this location has been Capriccio and The Garage. With an old red telephone booth outside, London Bistro has seating both inside and outside. The outside patio is colorfully decorated including a series of open umbrellas reminiscent of Mary Poppins. Inside there is seating both in the coffee bar area and at the front of the restaurant. They have even built a special playroom for children.

The restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. We visited for breakfast and the menu provides a great choice of dishes ranging from fruit and a bagel with salmon to pancakes, french toast and avocado toast to omelets, chilaquiles, eggs and eggs Benedict to some special combinations.

Beth ordered the french toast. It was a series of thick pieces of bread with caramelized bananas with cinnamon and brown sugar. It was absolutely delicious. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. This dish came with a small salad that was piled high with avocado. It was served with turkey ham, asparagus and sausage (they were out of bacon).

The restaurant has been open for about four months and was packed with locals, confirming that it was both good food and reasonably priced. The service was good, although a little harried as the place was so busy when we first arrived. We will definitely be back to try out their lunch and dinner menu.
There is also a location in Plaza Pioneros in Cabo San Lucas.
