Pan Di Bacco at El Merkado

John Anderson, Editor
After we attended the one man show of Luis Kerch at Galeria Alfredo Ginocchio (see recent post), we decided to stay in the Koral Center for dinner. It was an easy choice to visit Pan di Bacco, a recent winner of the Culinary Awards Los Cabos 2022 for Lunch in the Tourist Corridor. As the lunch and dinner menus are basically the same, how could we lose. Pan di Bacco gives you the choice of ordering inside of El Merkado and sitting at one of the tables in the middle of the food court or eating outside or in the dining room off the courtyard in the back of the Koral Center. We selected a table in the dining area by the courtyard, just steps for the art gallery.

The Lunch and Dinner menu provides the option of Appetizers, Salads, Pastas and Entrées and Pizzas. My wife and daughter were torn as they loved both the pizza and the pasta offered at Pan di Bacco. Erica ordered the Porcini Gnocchi with a truffle sauce and Beth ordered the Gnocchi Sorrentina with tomato sauce. But then they shared a Pizza Napoletana, basically a Margarita pizza. I decided on the Mushroom Ravioli and a glass of Chardonnay. The food service and presentation were very good. We were full and even took some pizza home for snacks.
