As our condo in Todos Santos will soon be completed, I ask almost everyone that I see what the good local restaurants are to try in town. While visiting Las Tinajas Winery, Gustavo, the head manager recommended Quesadillas Muñe, on the main road into town from Cabo San Lucas. This large palapa with a sand floor and a large kitchen, like many businesses is open early (5:00 am) and closes soon after lunch (3:30; 2:00 on Sunday) and is closed on Wednesdays.
There is a white board outside the door where you enter that provides the choices – burritos, eggs, omelets, pan cakes, chilaquiles, and sandwiches. The prices are amazing and clearly target the local market. The Huevos a la Mexicana that I choose often at other restaurants were $90 pesos (about $5.00 US). Another sign inside features the Quesadillas and their contents. I ordered a quesadilla with mushrooms. It was huge and came with cheese, a range of fresh grilled vegetables, and the mushrooms on a large flour tortilla. It was delicious. The quesadilla and a large bottle of Diet Coke was very inexpensive.
